Dark Souls 3's latest DLC launches today, and wow, the fact I'm here, writing these articles and not playing the crap out of it is a massive agony, and yet, here I am, being a responsible adult. Between this and the
Switch being revealed (oh, and Battlefield 1, and Civilization VI), it seems that October 21st is quite the time to be a gamer. Our enthusiasm for the Switch, though (my full thoughts of which will be posted next week), has been tempered by our lack of knowledge about the thing. Sure, we now know what it looks like and basically how it works, but that's only half the battle: we need to know a heck of a lot more before intrigued curiosity turns into genuine hype.
However, we're going to have to wait a long time before we learn anything concrete... at least, from the mouth of Nintendo, according to a
new Twitter post.
"no more official announcements this year on 1) game titles 2) spec details, including region-lock status."
So we won't learn more until next year? That's... pretty crazy. I mean, it'll be launching in March, that gives Nintendo three short months to build hype and get pre-orders out there before the console is in our hands... what could be the source of this delay?
It makes a man wonder. At least the Switch trailer had enough details to show us the kind of games it could play...
