When it comes to dedication, there are few studios as strong as Hello Games. Once again, a new major feature is coming to their space sim, No Mans Sky. And this time, its cross play!

According to a post on the No Mans Sky website, the game will not only be coming to Xbox Game Pass this month, but that it will be getting multiplayer cross play support along with it. Theyve been rebuilding the games entire netcode system to allow players on any platform to now play together. When the update drops on Thursday, June 11, players on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 will be able to play in the same universe.

"Making No Man's Sky available to vast new audiences, and allowing those audiences to come together, has been something we've been building towards for a long time. We're lucky to have one of the nicest and most welcoming gaming communities there is, and it's a delight to be able to allow them to play together."

The update will include a little more than just cross-play. It will introduce a number of other multiplayer additions, including improved lobby system, an in-game friends list, and even speech to text (not text to speech, but the other way, say it and it will translate to text).

No Mans Sky continues to be a project with endless passion behind it. Years after release, the developers continue to push out new updates, introducing features like giant mechs, alien space crafts, and expanded base building. We dont know when theyll stop, but were loving everything they produce until then.
