Hello Games, the studio best known for the controversial space-faring game No Man's Sky, has announced their latest game: The Last Campfire.

It appears to follow the path of a small, character clad in red as they explore a lush, mystical forest-like setting. Developed by Chris Symonds and Steven Burgess, Hello Games is calling the title a Hello Games Short. Studio head Sean Murray compares these shorts to like the video shorts Pixar would do, "a way to foster creativity and new voices." Little else is said about the game at this time.

A lost ember trapped in a puzzling place, searching for meaning and a way home. [It has] lost folk, strange creatures and mysterious ruins.

With the frequent and in-depth updates happening with No Man's Sky over the last couple of years, it was a surprise to hear that the studio was producing anything else. Though from the sounds of it, The Last Campfire is a small, side project that didn't take much away from their daily development grind.
