And if this website could handle GIFS, I would embed it here. Sorry.
Anyway, this got people talking online—was Street Fighter trying to appeal to our baser senses through extra fan service? Did a member of Team Ninja sneak into the office and adjust some numbers? Was gravity just feeling especially perverted that day? Turns out the answer to most of those questions are “no” (I wouldn’t put it past a member of Team Ninja to do that) because Capcom decided to nip this one in the bud: there are no extra jiggle physics in Street Fighter 5. The jiggling we saw was just a glitch.
Capcom associate producer Peter Rosas confirms…
“The whole Chun-Li jiggle thing is a glitch that only happens on the second player side of the E3 build and it will be fixed,”
His claims are true, actually. The same problem affects Cammy when she’s on the left side of the character select screen, while Chun Li’s are effectively motionless when she’s on the right side. Additionally, anyone who watched the gameplay and transfixed obsessively over the boobs of the fighters would note that there was certainly no tantalizing jiggle physics during the actual combat. So this really is just a… strange glitch.
Crisis averted, then. I’m sure there are a few disappointed people in the audience, but, well… they know where to get their uncanny virtual boobs if they need a fix.
