Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel to Hit PSN February 2nd

Well, guess what's coming in February!? Another XSEED title, that's what! XSEED Games released a new trailer today that details the gameplay mechanics of its upcoming fighter, Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel--that's a crossover, by the by, featuring the VN company Nitroplus' characters. Developed by the Arcana Hearts devs, EXAMU, Nitro Blasterz will be hitting North American February 2 for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

So what's to look forward to in this crossover experience? Well, expect some balanced fighting that will be easy for players of all skill levels to pick up, first of all. Alongside the main fighter of your choice, two partners will join the fray, bringing a competitive edge to the fight. Also, like the power moves you often see in fighters, there will be a Power Gauge that gradually fills, allowing fighters to unleash potent, bursting attacks.

The trailer also looks into the "Blast" system, which gives players the option to use one of three strategic maneuvers each round. You'll be able to have choices like creating the distance between yourself and the opponent, breaking an opponent's combo (that's going to be useful) and extending your own combo. Oh, and your health will be regenerating, so there's that too.

The combos are going to be easy-to-execute (unlike some fighters, once more), and the "Lethal Blaze" attacks are going to feature cinematic cut-ins. The fact that there will be a total of six characters is going to guarantee a flashy and quick brawl.

So, if you're a fan of Nitroplus' VN anyway and also happen to enjoy fighters, then you'll be pleased to see some cool-looking characters like Ein, Mora, Ruili, Al Azif, Saya, Ignis, Anna, Muramasa the 3rd, Kibanohara Ethica, Saber, and Ouka as well as Super Sonico.

Oh, did I mention there's cross-play?

For those that purchased the title and for the first four weeks of the game's debut, XSEED will be giving out two free DLC characters--Homura and Aino Heart. After March 1, 2016, Homura and Aino will be available for $5.99 each or as a bundle for $9.99.
