So let's talk for a moment about Nintendo's Online Service. The service, which was due for release during the summer of last year, has been extended for unknown reasons. Speculation ranges between licensing issues and network problems, but the point remains that it's been a little over six months and we haven't seen the light of the online service, which was to include a virtual console component. Well, it appears as if we're finally seeing the service... later this year.
How much later?
According to Nintendo, the Nintendo Switch Online Service will debut in September. This has been confirmed via Nintendo's official Twitter account.
So what should we expect?
Well, as you may know, Nintendo Switch online allows you to play multiplayer for a fee, but it will be $3.99 per month or $19.99 yearly. However, subscribers will receive access to classic games featured in Nintendo Switch's virtual console. More details should be unveiled soon.
