Not all playtimes are gone, only the one played a year ago. For example: had you played The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on launch day, then your Switch will now say you first played the game 6 days ago.
This isn't the first weird aspect to the record tracking system, either. For some reason, the console takes a week to update the game information. So whatever it says your times are, it's a week behind. This may play into why this recent issue rolls back to 6 days prior.
According to a statement by Nintendo of America, this is a bug that is currently being investigated.
Some Nintendo Switch owners play activity information is displaying incorrectly. We are aware of the issue and we expect to have more information to share in the near future.
If you're wondering why you play data seems wrong, fear not. This will be resolved soon enough. In the mean time, you now have a golden opportunity to lie about how much you really played Snipperclips. We know it's a lot.
