The newest piece of Nintendo Switch news, also featuring the battery life dilemma has come to surface. According to the Nintendo Switch Controller boxing, the Pro controller will last up to 40 hours before needing to be charged. Comparing this battery life to other popular consoles really shows how impressive it is. The PS4 Dual Shock 4 controller lasts around 7-8 hours, while the classic Xbox One controller lasts 20+.

The Nintendo Switch Pro controller features a lithium ion battery, that is charged via USB cable (included with the controller). The Pro controller also pairs automatically when plugged into the Switch in TV mode, via USB port.
While we've learned that the Nintendo Switch will only last a disappointing 3 hours away from outlet (depending on the game of choice), fans have been skeptical on the rather expensive pricing on this "portable" console. Although the Switch only lasts 3 hours away from outlet, it features something that no Nintendo console has before. A USB charging port. While charging the Switch via USB port, the 3 hours of battery life jumps up to abut 6 hours. So unless you're planning on gaming more than 6 hours straight, I think you'll be fine.
The Nintendo Switch launches everywhere on March 3rd and is very likely to be sold out at most retail stores almost instantaneously.
