I've pretty much forgotten all about this.

Remember Project Giant Robot, which was supposed to launch on the Wii U sometime ago? Well, that's no longer a thing.

Project Giant Robot, which was in development hell for quite some time, has officially been canned, according to Nintendo.

The title has never been completed and was actually only shown once, during E3 2014. You were supposed to use the Wii U GamePad to control the robot, knocking over buildings and such in a Godzilla fashion.

Nintendo told Polygon in response as to why the game was canceled:

"We made this decision after considering our overall product and development strategy."

I mean, it seems like no one would actually buy it unless it was ported over to the Switch anyway. Well, it was forgotten about by many nevertheless.
