Finally, the Nintendo Switch will soon be in our grasp. It launches on March 3rd, and Nintendo has been working to stock the eShop up with unique and interesting titles from day one and beyond. They have been working with independent developers and publishers to bring us some pretty awesome, original experiences. Of course, to have access to these titles, you will need to subscribe to Nintendo's online membership that costs about $25 per year.

More than 60 indie titles have already been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch this year alone, and many of these games take advantage of the Switch's unique features such as TV mode, tabletop mode, handheld mode and local/online play. Nintendo showcased some of these games, and how playing them on the Switch will create a totally unique and original playing experience. Check out their showcase video here.

Our Nindies Showcase gives fans a taste of some of the great content on its way to Nintendo eShop, said Steve Singer, Nintendo of Americas Vice President of Publisher and Developer Relations. Were working with both mainstream and independent developers to make Nintendo Switch the destination for entertaining games and experiences.

To access the Nintendo eShop, players will have to download an update that will be available on day one. The update is designed to download in the background upon booting up the Switch, and it won't hinder gameplay or stop the player from exploring the Switch. Once players have visited the Nintendo eShop for the first time, they will be able to purchase games from Nintendo.com and have them automatically downloaded to their switch, wherever there is a WiFi connection.

Some Titles:
  • Runner3 from Choice Provisions
  • SteamWorld Dig 2 from Image & Form Games
  • Yooka Laylee from Team 17 and Playtonic Games
  • Blaster Master Zero from Inti Creates
  • Pocket Rumble from Chucklefish Games and Cardboard Robot Games
  • Flipping Death from Zoink Games
  • Mr. Shifty from tinyBuild and Team Shifty
  • Wargroove from Chucklefish Games
  • Stardew Valley from Chucklefish Games and ConcernedApe
The Nintendo Switch hits store shelves on March 3rd. If you want more information, you should refer to their website.
