Good news for those lacking a Nintendo Switch (and don't want to cough up extravagant amounts of dough to Nintendo): Nintendo is supposedly increasing production of the Nintendo Switch consoles, ahead of the 2017 holiday season.
Judging by the demand since launch - and stores have been barren of these consoles - the demand will only grow come holiday season, especially since Super Mario Odyssey will launch around then.
Now, the company seems to be aiming to produce at least 18 million units between now and March 2018, citing concerns over "customer tantrums" toward the end of this year.
According to the Financial Times, Nintendo has:
"...denied that it had plans to boost production to that level, sticking to its official hardware shipment target of 10 million units."
However analysts believe that Nintendo is only doubling the amoutn - or close to it. After all, Nintendo has been known for shortages. Take a look at the NES Classic, which has been discontinued.
