Nintendo NX to Have a Strong Launch Lineup

Beginning with The Legend of Zelda is a good start anyway.

What do you do when you state a promise? You keep to it. However, it's not a great idea to make such a strong promise that it could impact your player base. Well, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima, during a Nintendo investors meeting. The investors were a little upset with the idea that the NX will be missing the holiday launch and instead be hitting the March of 2017 release. According to Nintendo Life:

"Having a full software lineup when the hardware launches is one reason for the NX launch timing. Also, we must be in a state to release titles not just at launch, but continually afterwards. We are planning for it to be a platform that will be played for a long time."

Okay, okay, so that's not exactly a promise, but it's a firm statement all the same.

Additionally, the console will be profitable from the beginning unlike the Wii U.

Bold words. Very bold words. But a bad launch lineup was what killed the Wii U, so hopefully Nintendo learned its lesson. That said, Zelda is coming to the NX as a launch title, so that's at least a great beginning. I have hopes that Nintendo knows what it's doing.
