Breath of the Wild should look pretty sharp.

So, Nvidia and Nintendo are rumored to be teaming up and I love it. Nvidia has been doing incredible things in the gaming world, except for selling great consoles. Note how I said "selling" instead of making. The Nvidia Shield console is a great idea and they did an amazing job with it. Allowing gamers to play the games they love while on the go, and then go home and transfer it to their TV is perfect. I know I would leave the house a lot more if I could always bring my favorite games with me. The biggest issue was it was a small fish trying to make it in a big pond. When you suddenly hit the scene and you're competing with Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, things can get rough really fast. This is where the golden partnership comes in.

After sales were pretty low for the Wii U, Nintendo needed something to get them back in the game. Of course they're trying to appeal to casual gamers, but the Wii U was so similar to the original Wii that their consumers didn't want to drop the few hundred bucks on an update. Nvidia and Nintendo teaming up on the NX will be a game changer for both companies. Nintendo will benefit by using the Tegra from the new Pascal series that Nvidia has produced, and Nvidia will benefit by getting a ton of attention from console gamers. Now, Nvidia is extremely well known among PC gamers, but Microsoft and Sony went with AMD for their latest consoles. If Ninvidia (yes the mix of Nintendo and Nvidia. You heard it here first) master at home gaming and with on-the-go gaming with the Nintendo NX, the payout could be huge.

Nintendo needed to shake things up with their new console to really prove that they're still a great competitor in the console war. By teaming up with Nvidia and using their experience with Shield, they should be able to make one beast of a machine. I truly don't think that the console will be bad at all, but even if it comes out poorly I'll still be picking it up so I can play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
