Fire Emblem Fates has been the target of some of Nintendo's major localization changes. First, the "drugging/gay conversion" scene was removed from the game, then the petting mini-game was axed. Now, in an age in which this is now the norm, the Japanese voice acting has been cut completely. Nintendo confirmed with Polygon that Birthright, Conquest, and Revelation will contain only the English audio, providing no reason as to why the Japanese version was slaughtered.
