Nintendo Finally Unveils NX, Called Nintendo Switch

Today is the day of the NX reveal, in the form of a preview.

You know what? Let me not waste your time with my words. Just watch the first look trailer:



It is just absolutely glorious. And no, it's no longer called the NX, but instead the Nintendo Switch.

Three-and-a-half full minutes displaying its awesome capabilities. It's as the rumors have stated: a home device that can be taken wherever you go.

Think of it as the ultimate hybrid between the Wii U and the 3DS, except more powerful. According to the trailer description:
 

"Introducing Nintendo Switch! In addition to providing single and multiplayer thrills at home, the Nintendo Switch system also enables gamers to play the same title wherever, whenever and with whomever they choose. The mobility of a handheld is now added to the power of a home gaming system to enable unprecedented new video game play styles."

And boy, is the long wait worth it. Take it wherever you'd like - when friends are bugging the crap out of you, when you're on a plane, or when you're on camping trip!

After all this time, it has finally been revealed. Now we just need to know about its library offerings and the pricing. Being a hybrid, I can't help but wonder if it will be close to $300... or more. Anyway, please look forward to it in March 2017.
