As technology advances, so do our capabilities with it. While some are making life-saving machines, others are developing browser-based Game Boy Advance emulators. Or they were, before Nintendo issued a DMCA for them. In under a week's time, the Repo would be removed.
A full removal request has been made publicly available by GitHub:
The files located at the repository link https://jsemu3.github.io/gba/contain unauthorized copies of Nintendo's video game software in violation of the law and GitHubs Terms of Service.
The particular emulator in question allowed players to play many older titles, like Advance Wars, Zelda, and Pokemon.
Nintendo's recent wave of legal action has led to the shutdown of emulator site LoveROMs. It's unclear whether this will continue into other ROM and emulator projects and sites. Only time will tell.
