Alright, let's talk for a moment about DLC. DLC, depending on the content, can ignite some groans, but it's a way to may money, especially when development costs are on the rise and pirating runs rampant.
Well, just so you know, Nintendo has announced and released the details on the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild season pass. And quite a few people are not enthused, if we're going by the ratings on YouTube.

This is the first offered DLC of the entire series, so people probably weren't expecting this. This pass will be available on March 3 for $19.99 USD/£17.99 for both the Wii U and Nintendo Switch versions of Breath of the Wild. Recipients will see two extra content packs, which will be released later in the year. Unfortunately, these packs cannot be purchased individually.
Pack 1 - Summer 2017
A new Cave of Trials challenge
Hard mode
"A new feature for the in-game map"
Pack 2 - Holiday 2017
A new dungeon
A new "original story"
Additional challenges
Purchasing the pass will also grant you the ability to unlock three extra treasure chests in the Great Plateau area in the game. Two of the chests will contain useful items, while the final one will feature a "shirt with a Nintendo Switch logo which Link can wear during his adventure."
