Over the last few months, rumors of a Nintendo Switch port of the popular adventure game, Night in the Woods began to grow. We now have confirmation that this is indeed true.
While developers Finji made the announcement on Tuesday, the news was first discovered thanks to a Nintendo eShop listing for the game. This caused mild confusion in regards to the release date. The eShop listing first said January 18, but Finji would later come out to clarify that the real date is February 1, and the eShop was an error on their part.
Night in the Woods is a game about Mae Borowski, a college dropout who has returned to their hometown of Possum Springs in hopes of jumping back into where she left things off. Except now things seem different, people have grown and places have changed. Something feels off.
It's an adventure game that puts additional focus on both the story and characters, as well as exploration. You can jump from hanging out with friends, to causing fights, to jumping roofs. Possum Springs is your oyster, crack it open to see the darkness inside.
The Night in the Woods Twitter also confirms that the Nintendo Switch edition "will be Weird Autumn edition. With all the stuff."
If you've never played Night in the Woods, or you simply want to play again on a Switch, then you'll be able to purchase the title on February 1 for $19.99 on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
