NieR: Automata PC Specs Revealed

Pretty normal stuff, really.

Nier Automata is set to come out very soon, the 7th for PS4 users, marking it as a very important date for anyone who either didn’t want a Nintendo Switch or couldn’t get one. While the game won’t be showing up on the Xbox One on account of the console’s unpopularity in Japan, Square Enix is releasing the game for the PC on the 17th, and if you intend to run this baby on your home computer, then you’d better make sure it’s hardware is up to par. Fortunately, Square Enix has released that information to us via Tweet, and the hardware specs for the game seem fairly standard for a modern triple-A game.

Minimum Specs (720p)
  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit / Windows 8.1 64-bit / Windows 10 64-bit (32-bit OS not supported)
  • CPU: Intel Core i3 2100 or higher, AMD A8-6500 or higher
  • System Memory: 4GB or higher free space
  • HDD / SSD: 50GB or higher
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 VRAM 2GB or higher / AMD Radeon R9 270X VRAM 2GB or higher

Recommended Specs (1080p)
  • OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit / Windows 10 64-bit (32-bit OS not supported)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 4670 or higher, AMD A10-7850K or higher
  • System Memory: 8GB or higher free space
  • HDD / SSD: 50GB or higher
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 VRAM 4GB or higher / AMD Radeon R9 380X VRAM 4GB or higher
Like I said, it appears to be a fairly straightforward game with straightforward specs. Still, for those who were worried the PC version might be delayed or postponed, this is undoubtedly welcome news.

We’ll see if the game itself is any good, however, when it’s launched tomorrow for the PS4. I doubt the gameplay between the two will be very different at all, even if the graphics might be less impressive.
