NieR: Automata is a big hit with a lot of people, and unsurprisingly, it continues to linger for weeks (perhaps months) after people beat it. Well, good thing there is DLC. Today, during the livestream fans have been waiting for - to celebrate the 1,000,000+ in sales - it has been announced that DLC will, in fact, make it to the game. For the Japanese, it will arrive on May 2nd at 1500 Yen in Japan, but for Westerners, no price or date has been made official.
The DLC will affect just one apologetic machine, and inside the location behind the machine you'll find a Colosseum to test your skills. You'll face new both new combat challenges and interesting new bosses - Square Enix president and CEO Yosuke Matsuda and Platinum Games president and CEO Kenichi Sato. Rewards include some high-end items, costumes, hair color changes, and more. Furthermore, those who need even more of a challenge will be able to access a more difficult mode for speedrunning players.
Furthermore, you'll be also receiving three original NieR-themed costumes. For 2B, you'll be able to wear Kaine's outfit, otherwise known as "High-Exposure Girl's Clothes." For 9S, you'll be able to equip "Simple Boy's Clothes," which are in the style of young NieR. Finally, 2A will be able to wear "World Destroyer Man's Clothes" which are in the style of young adult NieR.
Yet, nothing for older NieR. Ah well.
