New Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus Trailer and Pre-Order Bonuses

Looks reasonable. Perfectly fine.

I never personally played the first of the new Wolfenstein games, but I understand that they're very popular, and for good reason: it defied standard shooter power-fantasy empowerment in favor of a more grounded (yet wacky in its own way), human story that depicted the resistance force you typically join as more tired than passionate heroes of the people.  Plus, it was just fun as all heck to play.

So people have been waiting for the sequel, The New Colossus, to launch, and it's no surprise they're considering pre-ordering the game or buying the season pass. And to help entice them, Bethesda has just released a new trailer and new information regarding what players can expect to get if they dish out for the season pass, or decide to chance the preorder.

Oh, and more of that strawberry milkshake scene. Because that's what the people wanted.

Anyway, here's the skinny: if you buy the Season Pass for Wolfenstine 2: The New Colossus, you'll get not one, not two, but four whole DLC expansions, which include:
  • Episode Zero: Episode Zero introduces you to Joseph Stallion, Jessica Valiant, and Gerald Wilkins as they fight for freedom in the American Territories. Blast your way through Nazis using unique abilities and an arsenal of guns in this opening DLC mission.
  • The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe: As former professional quarterback Joseph Stallion, smash through Nazi hordes from the ruins of Chicago to the vastness of space!
  • The Diaries of Agent Silent Death: As ex-OSS agent and assassin Jessica Valiant, infiltrate Nazi bunkers in California and discover the secrets of Operation San Andreas!
  • The Amazing Deeds of Captain Wilkins: As the US Army's renowned hero Captain Gerald Wilkins, embark on a mission to Nazi-controlled Alaska to dismantle Operation Black Sun!
But if you're not feeling ambitious enough to buy the season pass, you can always just pre-order the game, which means you'll get Episode Zero for free: a good way to try a little bit of the DLC to see if the Season Pass is worth your while, eh?

Wolfenstine 2: The New Colossus comes out for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 27.
