New Trailer Reveals Lady Layton

Now, I'm a fan of a lot of things, but Professor Layton will always have a place in my heart. A mellow, lighthearted series that taught me that being a gentleman is about looking good, behaving respectfully, and of course, using mind over might to solve your problems. Now, I haven't been the most devout fan, I stopped playing after Unwound Future, but I've been keeping tabs on the series and keeping myself abreast of it's developments, even as Level-5 found unrivaled success with Yoakai Watch.

Well! My patience and diligence has paid off, because even though the original Layton series has ended, a new star has risen in the world of Professor Layton: his daughter will now be starring in her own series, called "Lady Layton."

...no, not Flora. Don't be silly. His OTHER daughter, Cattley Eyl Layton, and her talking dog sidekick. Check it out.



The game is set to be released Spring 2017 for the iOS, Android, and of course, 3DS. It's worth noting that Akira Tago, the man who 'birthed' Professor Layton and created the puzzles, has passed away, meaning that Lady Layton will be the first Professor Layton game created without his direct input. Here's hoping it can stand without his support, and the next puzzle master can fill his massive shoes.

There's no word on an English release, but I'll keep ya'll in the know!
