New Trailer and Official Release Date for Sundered on PS4

Thunder Lotus Games, the creators of the hand-drawn title Jotun, are releasing a new game in just a few weeks. Their current title, Sundered, is coming to PlayStation 4 on July 28th, and it looks really cool. Recently, games have been taking players' choices into consideration, using them to alter the gameplay mechanics and even the ending of the game. It appears as though Thunder Lotus Games has been hard at work to implement that in Sundered.

In fact, Sundered is all about the decisions that the player makes. Their system is called "resist or embrace" and is referring to the Elder Shards you encounter throughout your travels. You play as Eshe, a female protagonist in a ruined world. As she defeats bosses, she gains access to these Elder Shards, which are ancient relics from the past. You are then given the choice to sacrifice a piece of your humanity to embrace the shards, or incinerate them and resist the temptation.

By embracing the shards, you gain access to new abilities that will change your gameplay experience. By resisting, you will be able to upgrade your pre-existing abilities, while still keeping the gameplay pretty much the same. The end of the game is completely dependent on the decisions you've made throughout your journey, and I expect that many people will have an incredibly adventure to tell their friends about.
