New Square Enix Humble Bundle Appears!

It’s another Humble Bundle!

As you know, faithful readers, I love nothing more than the ol’ Humble Bundle: pay what you want, it goes to charity, and in return for your generosity you get a collection of video games! It’s like instant karma for a good deed, and I’ll never miss a chance to advertise a new one when it comes out.

Today, we’ve got the second Square Enix bundle! Woooo!

So, as always, here’s how it works; you go to this website and you donate however much money you want, anywhere from a penny to a million dollars. You can decide how much of that money goes to the developers, how much goes to charity, and how much goes into the humble bundle ‘tip jar’. This time around, donate anything and you’re guaranteed to get Hitman: Absolution, Hitman Go, and Supreme Commander 2. Donate more than fifteen dollars, you’ll also get a copy of Sleeping Dogs and the Tomb Raider reboot.

And if you donate more than the current average (which, at time of writing, is 7 dollars), you’ll also get a copy of Thief, Murdered: Soul Suspect, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut, and some secret unrevealed games!

Ultimately, the collection of games isn’t bad, but locking most of them behind the ‘fifteen plus or more than the average’ barrier strikes me as a bit seedy. That said, three games for a few bucks is still pretty great, and since it goes to charity (namely Make A Wish and GamesAid) it’s not money wasted, either.
