The San Diego Comic-Con was this weekend, and gosh, there was a lot of news buzzing around the nerd sphere. A lot of it wasn't related to video games, given that it was... you know, a comic convention, but Niantic had a presence at the con to talk about their mobile smash hit, Pokemon Go. As you can imagine, it was a treasure trove of information, but since I didn't actually go, here's everything I've learned second-hand:
The first, and perhaps most important, is that the 'leaders' of each team have been released. You can see it in the header image, and literally everywhere on the internet as people try to determine if Blanche is a woman or a man.
But that's not all we got: we also learned that Niantic is far from finished with their mobile super toy. In fact, as far as they're concerned, the app is only 10 percent finished. In addition to adding trading, they're planning the ability to customize Pokestops, add Pokemon Centers, increase functionality of gyms, and while they're discussing HOW to add breeding, they don't have anything planned yet. Oh, and they're withholding the release of legendaries until the game has been released everywhere.
They also said that there are Easter Eggs in the game that have yet to be discovered... hmmmm ... perhaps the elusive Ditto is hidden somewhere no one has found it yet?
Regardless, we can only speculate. Here's hoping that trainer battles (and maybe a better battle system) is also in the works. Fingers crossed!
