According to an interview with Furukawa, the president-to-be wants the company's mobile game output to yield 100 billion yen (that's $910 billion for you Yankees):
"From what I can see, smartphone games are the ones I want to expand the most. The idea that something will emerge that transforms into something big, in the same manner as game consoles, is the defining motive of the Nintendo business."
Furukawa also stated that he wants the Nintendo Switch available for more markets. The console has only been available in Japan, the US, and Europe. He wants to extend their market to the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
Furukawa will also be revising the game production approval process, reducing it to a board of five directors, with himself having final approval.
"Other people are gifted at evaluating products. Making the final call on whether or not something makes sense is my responsibility."
