New GTA Online PUBG-Style Battle Royale Game Mode

The Smuggler's Run update for GTA Online was announced last week and was just rolled out recently. Included in that update is a brand new game mode, Motor Wars. In this mode, a team of four people drops from a helicopter to find a vehicle and weapons as fast as possible. As time goes on, the map gets smaller until the teams are forced to battle it out and kill each other. Remind you of something?

A lot of people are saying that this is their versions of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, which I don't really agree with. Of course it's extremely similar, but they made it into their own kind of game. The heavy emphasis on armored vehicles that are decked out in weaponry helps prove my point. This isn't about dropping in and surviving for as long as possible by collecting ammunition, armor, and powerful weapons. You just find a big truck, get into it, and start blowing up everything around you.

I love the fact that GTA Online is finally getting a Battle Royale mode. It's been way too long and I think that this could have been included a very long time ago. People are clearly loving games like H1Z1: King of the Kill and PUBG, so why not create your own version of it? Check out some gameplay from Motor Wars down below!
