Now, you know I’m a sucker for any and all things related to Dark Souls III--which has made the localization gap between the US and the Japanese launch all the more miserable. By now, the internet is swarming with information and gameplay videos and maps and screenshots… and lil’ ol’ PS4 owning me has to wait another two weeks (and then another few days after that, because as much as I’d like to skip work to binge the game I ain’t made of money) before I can finally delve back into Lordran… what could possibly help sate my Dark Souls III urges in the meantime?!
...I mean other than Salt and Sanctuary, which seems to have been made with the expressed purpose of acting as an appetizer for fans like myself.
Why, Eli Roth comes to the rescue--yes,that Eli Roth--with a Dark Souls 3 cartoon he directed personally. Check it out below:
...Okay then.
No lie, this doesn’t strike me as extremely Dark Souls-like, between the art style, the quickness of the pace, and the ultimate ‘fate’ of the guy who swallowed whatever it was the Witches were brewing, but...apparently Namco Bandai gave it a thumbs up, so, I guess it’s… canon? Or something? Whatever, my opinion means nothing, it’s here, and we’re still 12 days away from the launch of my next obsession for the next few months.
Ugh, I feel like a child waiting for Christmas.
