New Dark Souls 3 Trailer Released

That sums it up nicely.

Dark Souls 3 comes out next month, and boy, I can just feel the hollow, dark bleakness crawling in my soul already--I am seriously pumped for this game. Unfortunately, as is Namco Bandai's way, we're not being told much about this game, outside what we've gleaned from the now-closed beta and what few trailers have been released, but hey, speaking of trailers, a brand new one has come out, and while it's super exciting, it's also not nearly as informative as I'd like.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. The trailer itself, first:

While it's disappointing we didn't really get to see any new enemies or locations in this trailer (I get the feeling Namco Bandai is super proud of that crawling armor guy), what is interesting is the choice of music. Historically, they've never been careless about their choice of music for the trailer, and I very much doubt a downbeat version of a peppy '80s song was simply chosen at random. It's too...deliberate. And a bit more subtle than Paint it Black.

Lore implications? No doubt. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.
