The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild released over a year ago. And yet, we're still seeing new, physics-defying exploits that change the way the game is played. A new form of "fast travel" is going viral in the speedrunning community, allowing players to fly across the map in less than a minute.
The original founder of this glitch is unknown, most people citing it as "a Chinese player." Using a PC emulation of the game, the player jumps off of a hight, pulling their shield out to Shield Surf above a hostile Bokoblin. After slowing down time with the airborne bow mechanic, the player collides with the side of the monster, pushing them sideways. Once slo-mo is disabled, the player launches at extreme speeds away. Using the paraglider, the player can then maintain their hight and speed for long distances.
The addition of world physics into the Zelda franchise has already sparked a handful of fascinating tricks and gimmicks. But this one might be my favorite.
Bonus Video: Link collides at high speeds into a Hinox's crotch.
