It's Christmas weekend!  With the vast majority of the games industry either shut down or shutting down for the season, you can expect news to slow to a trickle, and news writers to be taking some time off to spend with their families and loved ones.  Still, with three days before the big C itself, it seems EA and DICE are giving you an early present this year... at least, if you really wanted a new Battlefield: Hardline trailer.  Check it out:

You have to wonder if DICE regrets shifting focus from Soldiers to Cops in it's latest Battlefield game, considering the recent hubub and controversy surrounding American's cops, but at least they're not backing down, so props to them for that. If nothing else, it could be said that it's a wise business move to stop trying to compete with Call of Duty in the modern military genre, which is certainly over-saturated at this point.

What matters is, it looks fun, and while the story might be all levels of cliche, it at least looks fun in a cheesy sort of way.  It'll come out on March 17th of next year.
