...Until now.
According to the show's writer, showrunner, and executive producer, Lauren S. Hissrich, The Witcher is inching forward toward its Netflix release.
According to the tweet:
"The Witcher pilot is out for notes, and I'm out for the weekend to spend some time with my kids. See you bright and early on Monday!"
Keep in mind that Hissrich has also written for Netflix's The Defenders, Daredevil and The West Wing.
Unfortunately, that's all there has been made for progress. Questions that remain unanswered include:
"Who will be playing Geralt or any of the main characters?"
"When will the show release?"
Unfortunately, it seems as if we won't know the answer to either of those for a good while. For those who need a recap, the Netflix Witcher show has been announced in May 2017, and it will be based on the eight-part novel series written by Andrzej Sapkowski rather than the games brought to you by beloved CD Projekt Red.
Furthermore, Netflix is working with Platige Films to create the show.
So, it seems as if progress has been made, even if said progress has been a little slow. What do you think? Will we see any updates soon?
I certainly hope so.
