Netflix Announces WitcherCon, a Digital Event in July - E3 2021

The Witcher franchise has been a heavy hitter in the world of RPGs. And with the hit Netflix series, the tale of Geralt has never been more popular. To celebrate this, Netflix and developers CD Projekt Red have announced WitcherCon, a multi-format event dedicated to The Witcher universe.

The convention, if that's a fair name for it, was announced during the Netflix Geeked Week presentation on Friday. It came alongside a rather cryptic and fast cut teaser for the next season of the Witcher Netflix show. The event itself is being promoted as a collaborative effort between the game developers and the live-action show producers.

According to the now available official website, WitcherCon will feature a variety of interactive panels to attend, new announcements, behind the scenes footage, and more. It will cover more than just the game and the show, too. Well hear about comic books, fan gear, the mobile game, and the upcoming anime adaption.

But it's important to keep expectations in check. And with something as extravagant as hosting your own digital convention for a game, CD Projekt Red thought they should make one clarification. There will not be a new Witcher video game announced at WitcherCon.
