It's no secret that Nerf is THE firearm of choice for 10-year-old kids. So I guess it makes sense that the blaster building company would announce a line of Fortnite Nerf guns.

According to a recent post on the official Nerf Instagram account, the toymaker has partnered with Epic Games over their popular battle royale game. The posting itself is nothing more than the words "Fortnite X Nerf" in the game's bold style, with "Who's ready to add some gold to their loadout?" written as the caption. Details regarding the toy line, such as weapon choices, price, and release date, are unknown at this time.

This has led to a discussion over which weapons will become Fortnite Nerf blasters. Most of the guns available in-game retain a certain realism behind their cartoonish designs. Nerf doesn't produce weapons that look too closely to a real-life firearm (for obvious reasons), so items like the assault rifle, SMG, and shotgun may not be suitable candidates. There are a few wacky-looking weapons like the rocket launcher and the grappling hook, though their concepts may not translate well to Nerf darts.

The price and release date for whatever they're making is unknown at this time.

This isn't the first time Nerf made some video game guns. The company also partnered with Blizzard to produce a couple of Overwatch Nerf blasters, named Reaper and D.Va's. Those released as part of their Nerf Rivals collection, their high-performance blaster line.
