Need for Speed Offers Sign-Ups for Closed Beta Until Sept. 25

At least it's a great way to try before you buy!

EA's Need for Speed reboot is arriving to your console or PC sooner than you think. But before its release on November 3rd, it's giving players an opportunity to take part in the closed beta. Players are able to sign up on the official site, but they only have until September 25 to do so. Unfortunately, PC owners won't have a chance to participate in the beta--though a PC beta should be essential, considering the happenstances of Batman: Arkham Knight--as the beta will be limited to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 gamers.

Though localized for the UK, the terms and conditions state that the beta will be available in the United States, Canada, Japan, and Europe. Finally, don't think you can jump into the beta so easily after signing up--as expected, you will have to leap through the hoop of logging into an EA/Origin account.

Groan.

With the 100% online feature and EA/Origin account, it's hard to admit that EA isn't striving to be annoying.
