Pokemon Go has once been overhyped, to the point that it created an impact on the economy worldwide at launch. It has since died down immensely, but it's still going strong. Soon, Go trainers will be able to experience the arrival of Gen 2 Pokemon. Code diggers were able to discover the new set, which was injected into the APK code as of version 0.45.0. This set contains 100 new Pokemon names, though the moves haven't been included yet.

Unfortunately, there's no way to tell when Gen 2 will be released, if they will be released. But it's in the code now, right?

Furthermore, Pokemon Go has finally expanded the Nearby tracking feature, which was originally eliminated, prompting some major upset among the community. However, Niantic did promise that the feature would make a return, and it is back... sort of.

According to a blog post from Niantic, the company has been testing a variation of the Nearby Pokemon feature in San Francisco, California, the entirety of San Francisco Bay, Arizona, and Seattle, Washington.

Finally, beyond the discovery of the new Pokemon are the changes with the most recent update for iPhone (v1.15.0) and Android (v0.45.0), which contains the following changes:

"You'll earn bonuses for the first Pokemon catch and PokeStop visit each day. You'll receive a larger bonus when you do this seven days in a row.

When you defeat the Gym Leader at a rival Gym, there will be a brief period of time where only you will be able to place a Pokemon in the open Gym.

The amount of Prestige a rival Gym loses when you defeat a regular Gym member has increased. The amount of Prestige gained by training at a friendly Gym has been lowered.

Minor text fixes."
