The recent news of Telltale Games' closure has come as an unfortunate surprise to many. But the narrative-driven studio might still be able to finish what they started, namely The Walking Dead.

According to a statement by the Telltale Games Twitter account, a number of potential partners have reached out to the studio to offer their help in seeing the final season to completion.

"Hi everyone, we have a Walking Dead update for you. Multiple potential partners have stepped forward to express interest in helping to see The Final Season through to completion. While we can't make any promises today, we are actively working towards a solution that will allow episodes 3 and 4 to be completed and released in some form. In the meantime, episode 2 will release tomorrow across all platforms as planned. We hope to have answers for your other questions soon."

As the statement says, only one episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season has been released, while the second is releasing today. Upon announcing their closing, it was assumed that The Walking Dead project would be laid to rest uncompleted.

It's important to say that this isn't a confirmation that the series will continue. Don't get your hopes up just yet. More information on this as it develops.
