Publisher Ghostlight and creator Idea Factory, known for the Record of Agarest series, Sakura Wars, Spectral Force, and Hyperdimension Neptunia, are bringing another cult classic to the PC. Mugen Souls Z, a PS3 JRPG, will be heading to Steam for just $19.99, but if you hurry, you can purchase the title for 40 percent off that price.
Even neater is that the week after launch, on October 29, 2015, Ghostlight will be releasing all the console DLC at the same 40% discount. However, what is neatest is that Ghostlight is awesome enough to include 30 items of DLC from the console version for free, since it would be a part of the base game.
Check out the trailer below:
If you've no idea what Mugen Souls is all about, check out the features and plot:
In a small galaxy that hosts seven worlds represented by seven colors. These worlds do not act as one cohesive unit, but instead work independently, fostering some unique cultures. However, one undisputed goddess, Chou-Chou, announced a rather threatening decree, "I'm gonna make everything in each of these worlds bow down to me!"
Mugen Souls offers free-roaming maps, turn-based combat, and tons of customization that is reminiscent of the Disgaea series. Players are able to travel freely to each world to explore and find treasures and items. Whatever monster you encounter is also capable of being recruited to serve in your army. You can also turn enemies into items by executing the Moe Kill technique!
The battle system allows for Combo attacks between you and your comrades, and for even flashier fun, you can activate Hyper mode by destroying Crystals.
There is also a ton of customization, as mentioned previously, ranging from body parts to facial expressions to job classes!
Dual Audio is also available, in case you prefer Japanese dubs.
As for the PC version, expect full mouse/keyboard and gamepad support, Steam achievements, additional resolutions, higher frame rate options, user interface changes, and other major graphical enhancements. So look forward to Mugen Souls for the PC October 22!
Note: According to the trailer comments, the trailer is actually censored, so it may be something to keep in mind when considering the purchase of the PC version.
