A new trailer for the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 reveals a new fighter to join the fighting game's roster. Introducing Kollector, a hoarding, multi-limbed monster from the OutWorld.
Kollector is a humanoid creature with sharp claws and what appears to be six arms. With a penchant for physical possessions, he strikes at his foes using a multitude of items drawn from his backpack. Working for Shao-Kahn and the OutWorld Empire, he'll most likely play an antagonistic role in the game.
His item-based fighting style grants him a wide variety of abilities. He can strike at foes using extending chains or throw potent magical orbs from a distance. Up close, he strikes with either his long, sharp claws or with a variety of blades and knives.
Kollector's race is not clearly known at this time. At first glance, he appears to be a Shokan, the half-man half-dragon race best known for Goro and Sheeva. But upon closer inspection, he has too many differentiating characteristics. Kollector actually has six arms, not four. The extra two arms are holding his pack on his back. He also possesses five fingers on each hand, whereas the Shokan only have three.
Regardless of what he is, he is a welcome addition to the game's roster. His appetite for greed provides a certain intelligent greed not commonly seen from OutWorld characters.
Mortal Kombat releases April 23 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Pre-ordering the game will grant players Shao-Kahn as a bonus.
