Last we heard about the Nintendo Switch, the latest and possibly greatest console to come from the Big N, we were told that many of the most curious qualities of this machine wouldn't be revealed until next year. As for the cause of this delay, if to simply leave us in suspense or to keep anyone from buying a Wii U for the holidays, we can only guess, but at the very least, Nintendo did issue a follow-up statement the other day clarifying exactly WHEN we'll hear more about their enigmatic new hardware: January 12th, the start of the new year, in a live presentation that will also be streamed and broadcast for people not living in Tokyo.
This presentation will tell us critical details about the console, such as the price, the games being worked on for the machine, and the exact launch date. They followed up by saying that on the 14th and 15th, folks can go to the Tokyo Big Sight, an event venue, and try the console for free. This even is free, so hopefuls can expect a lot of long lines as people eagerly try Nintendo's latest console.
Exciting. Nintendo is really going all-out to promote this console, huh? Doing everything it can to avoid miscommunication or misunderstandings... considering the Wii U, that makes a lot of sense.
Looks like we have something to look forward too, once the Holidays are over. That's nice.
