Monster Hunter can't stop with these Betas. A new Monster Hunter World Beta will be taking place before the game's official console release. This time there will be new content, however. Like before, this Beta is taking place purely on PlayStation 4.
Capcom announced via the Monster Hunter Twitter that a final beta test will be taking place from January 18 at 6:00 PM PST until January 21 at 6:00 PM PST. That's the Thursday to Sunday almost two weeks from now.
The first beta session was held exclusively for PlayStation Plus members early last December. A second beta was held for all PlayStation members in late December. The second beta included a previously unimplemented monster from the first. This final time around, the player will also be faced off against the Monster Hunter World flagship monster, the Nergigante (Ner-Gee-Gone-Tea, according to text-to-speech). This intimidating beast will be the toughest challenge yet.
Capcom has also announced that the great and powerful Deviljho will be making a comeback in Worlds. This monster is one of the hardest monsters to try and take down and is known for both its brutality and for eating the severed tails of monsters.
Monster Hunter World is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on January 26, with a PC release around Autumn 2018. There will also be free DLC for the game, which will include new quests and monsters, in Spring 2018. Carve on, fellow hunters.
