Since you won't be getting one in real life.

Bethesda made some enemies recently when the canvas duffle bag advertised in their Power Armor edition of Fallout 76 turned out to be made instead of a cheaper nylon. To further highlight the PR farce, modders have added the Canvas West Tek Duffle Bag into Fallout 4 and Fallout: New Vegas.

When you ordered the Power Armor edition of Fallout 76, it came with a number of worthwhile goodies. The biggest item of interest was a wearable power armor helmet, with a canvas duffle bag alongside it. When the orders came in, people were surprised to find that the bag was made of nylon, a cheaper, less durable material. To compensate for the downgrade, Bethesda offered $5 worth of in-game premium currency.

With the gaming community being the smarmy buggers they are, jokes and other satire arose at Bethesda's expense. This includes a mod for Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4 that adds the bag into the game.

The Fallout 4 mod, developed by Dee Keyes simply replaces the standard duffle bag texture with one brandishing the "West Tek" logo. The mod is summarized in two simple sentences on the description page.

"This is a retexture of the Ammo Duffle bag to look like the one promised.

That's it, that's all, am i making a statement? I dunno you tell me."

The Fallout: New Vegas mod operates similarly. Instead of a retexture, it adds a single canvas bag into the game. The description is a bit more in depth, with some deliberate jabs towards Bethesda. The mod comes from the "Bait 'n Switch Marketing Company" and by using the mod you agree to "not try and get a refund or do anything else annoying."

It's important to note that while this was absolutely a marketing flop, that Todd Howard had nothing to do with it. Howard is commonly known as the face of the studio. But his role is as game director, not marketing executive. You may be upset about the false advertising, but understand that Howard was not involved.
