Have you ever been torn between playing Banjo Kazooie and Super Mario 64? The world and music of Banjo are some of the best, but the physics and controls of Mario are smooth as butter. Plus who doesn't love that mustached man? Fear not, noble gamer! SM64 modder Trenavix is recreating Banjo Kazooie into Super Mario 64 in nearly perfect detail.

"This demo is to show off what SM64Paint can do right now and the potential graphics SM64 can pull off. If this ends up getting a lot of attention, I'll consider continuing the hack, but otherwise, it'll just be the demo. Enjoy!"

Super Mario 64 is one of the most popular games in the modding community, and this is a fantastic example of the unheard of possibilities. Nintendo 64 games are significantly more difficult to implement new content compared to modern games like Skyrim.

There are 18 "Jiggies" in the downloadable demo, including those found in a secret level.

Trenavix credits Youtube users/SM64 modders Waschpenner and shyguyhex, though with what exactly isn't clear. You can download this mod yourself via a download link provided in the video description.
