Virtual reality is becoming prominent.

Headsets are the new "It" Object. VR is the new black.

Virtual reality is flourishing everywhere, and everyone wants a slice of the profit pie. There are guaranteed-to-be-expensive headsets, like the Oculus Rift, VR Union Claire, or Valve's VR headset, then there are the cheap newcomers.

Like $45 cheap.

We can turn our attention to Thumbs Up! Immerse VR Headset, a headset for your phone rather than PC or console.

However, there is a small problem with the "for your phone" clause. Virtual reality mobile games aren't exactly popular... yet. Perhaps they will be, but currently, the they are mainly buggy tech demos.

Immerse can be used anywhere at any time, as long as you slip your mobile phone inside the headset.

This reminds me of Google Cardboard - virtual reality within cardboard goggles.

It's also difficult to take Google Cardboard seriously.

Enough with the rambling. Immerse works with both iPhone and Android devices - though not all devices - and is compatible with the hundreds of apps already offered. To compete with other headsets, Immerse uses an accelerometer to track your movements.

So whether this piques your interest or not, it is advised to wait a little bit before mobile games are more virtual reality-suited. Even if you're unwilling to shell out $45, you can always purchase Google Cardboard products for as little as $19.99.

Warning: Not recommended for wear on public transportation, lest you risk embarrassment.
