While it's easy as pie to search for streaming software for your PC games and PlayStation 4, it's not so easy for mobile. There are a couple programs out there for Android, for instance, but they don't exactly work well. However, things may change for the better, as soon mobile gamers may be able to stream from their phones. DeNA, the Japanese big-name mobile publishers and e-commerce providers, has announced the program Mirrativ, a mobile phone livestreaming platform that's a bit of a cross between life live-streaming Periscope and Twitch.
A beta test is available for the platform, beginning at 4 P.M. Pacific, so about an hour ago. Fortunately, the test lasts four hours, so if you're reading this now, you have about three hours to test it out. Keep in mind that Mirrativ requires Android 5.0 or iOS 7.0, but unfortunately, Apple's OS will not be able to support broadcasting. At least it can at least view streams.
Supposedly the app's user interface is incredibly user friendly, but there's one huge drawback that will probably change soon in the future: the app doesn't offer any storage option for the streams, so any footage broadcasted would become a mere memory. Oh well, hopefully there will be a solution for this soon.
But if you'd like to show off your Terra Battle prowess, your mastery at Candy Crush, or a your nightly stroll through the park, you now have the opportunity to do so... live.
