Mojang Entertainment, the owner of Minecraft, has been working hard on surpassing the boundaries Minecraft currently bears. For instance, Minecraft Education: Edition will finally launch on November 1. Another example? Mojang is expanding Minecraft's horizons with cultural integration; specifically Chinese mythology.

According to Mojang's official site, the Chinese Mythology Mash-Up pack will be heading to the Console Edition on October 4:

"The Chinese Mythology Mash-Up pack arrives, bringing with it an exquisitely crafted world inspired by the myths of the far East: there are ancient cities to explore gargantuan sculptures to gawp at and cherry blossom aplenty. Beware, though - there's a reason they call this the land of dragons!"

The pack itself will include 41 new skins and 13 themed music tracks, as well as a special map for the Battle Mini Game, which was released back in June.

However, the pack won't be the only content to look forward to. The Console Edition will also see as part of a free update:
  • Polar bears and their adorable offspring are to be found wandering frozen biomes.
  • Banners! Spruce the place up with your personalised drapery.
  • New terrain generation: Igloos now appear in Arctic biomes, and gargantuan fossils lie beneath the earth awaiting your discovery.
  • Beetroots! You can farm them and turn them into a restorative soup. Delish!
  • Other new blocks: End Bricks, Grass Path, Frosted Ice, Magma, Nether Wart Block, Red Nether Brick and Bone Block.

Again, the update will launch on Xbox and the Wii U (for US players) on October 4, 2016, though other consoles will see a release on October 5, 2016.
