Risqué jokes can be... well, risky. Take HarrisonJr for example, who prompted Microsoft to strip him of his streamer status after jokingly calling himself a sex offender.

About a week ago, Mixer livestreamer Harrison Patrick Stewart, known online as HarrisonJr, posted a picture of himself on Twitter with sunglasses and a mustache. The caption to the image said to "Come and watch a registered sex offender play Fortnite with 10-year-olds."

As it turns out, this is enough to be considered a punishable offense to the Mixer official rules of conduct, which state that, "it is NEVER ok to discuss sex and a person under 18 at the same time." While Microsoft cannot dictate what their content creators post on non-Mixer platforms, their conduct on these platforms is expected to adhere to these rules in order to be allowed to use the service.

In response, Microsoft has revoked HarrisonJr's status as a verified personality on Mixer. A spokesperson for Microsoft told Hollywood Reporter that this was a thought-through decision.

"We take immediate action when we determine content violates our terms of service. . . . We've reviewed the content in question and as a result made the decision to end our partnership."

HarrisonJr has since deleted the original tweet and apologized for not being more considerate. HarrisonJR continued to reinforce that he's sorry for his behavior in the following days, expanding on it in more detail via two videos.

"I absolutely agree that it was inappropriate and I'm sorry to the people that it upset. I made it without thinking how it would read. I meant it as a joke, but I agree with the fact that it isn't something to be joked about. I'm sorry."

HarrisonJr's channel is currently offline and inactive. All past streams have been removed and the video title is called "I'm sorry." Originally with 80,000 followers, the channel now has only 46 of them.

While it may seem like an extreme response to what was intended as a bit of humor, it makes absolute sense that no company would want child sex offenses associated with their brand in absolutely any capacity.
