Though we haven't seen anything from Microsoft that featured the Kinect, Microsoft tells us not to worry. According to Aaron Greenberg, executive of the company, the Kinect is not dead and instead is very much alive.
To quote him during a conversation he had with GameSpot:
"We are absolutely continuing to support Kinect."
Basically, Microsoft will continue to support Kinect, but in a way "where it makes sense."
There are also games in development for the Kinect, but head of publishing of Microsoft Game Studios Shannon Loftis stated in an interview with The Verge that she wasn't able to announce them. Cortana, the Xbox version of Siri, will be available for Kinect, as it requires the Kinect sensor to speak to it.
So no worries, the Kinect isn't extinct... yet.
