If you want everything in Metroid: Samus Returns, including a harder difficulty, then you will probably want to stock up on some Metroid amiibo.

I mean, if you're lucky and quick to nab them.

Apparently, it will require four amiibo - the Super Smash Bros. series Samus and Zero Suit Samus, as well as the Samus Aran and Metroid amiibo (these two are launching September 15) - to unlock everything in the upcoming Nintendo 3DS title.

According to Nintendo's post on Facebook, here is what each amiibo does:

Super Smash Bros. series Samus

The Samus amiibo will unlock a reserve missile tank, and after completing the game, an additional in-game art gallery.

Super Smash Bros. series Zero Suit Samus

The Zero Suit Samus amiibo will unlock a reserve energy tank, and after completing the game, a selection of music.

Metroid Amiibo

In Metroid: Samus Returns, the Metroid amiibo unlocks Metroid Marker, a tool to help you find nearby Metroids. In addition, it will also unlock Fusion Mode, a new mode that offers increased difficulty and features Samus in her Fusion suit. Note that Fusion mode will only be available after finish the game at least once.

New Samus Amiibo

In Metroid: Samus Returns, the new Samus Aran amiibo will unlock an Aeion reserve tank allowing you to recharge your Aeion energy. In addition, it will unlock a unique Metroid II Art Gallery once the game has been completed once.

There is no word yet as to whether or not Fusion Mode is exclusive to the Metroid amiibo, but I sincerely hope not. It honestly should just be sold as DLC.

Metroid: Samus Returns will launch on September 15 for the Nintendo 3DS.
