Sir Daniel has risen up once again. President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment America, Shawn Layden, announced at PSX recently that MediEvil will be getting a full remaster for PlayStation 4.

Layden remarks about the large feedback he has received about the title, one that he has a personal connection to throughout his history.

We think Sir Daniel needs one more resurrection and this is the time to do it. Serendipitously, I'd already had this one baking in the oven and then I saw all the pressure and thought this was a great time to talk about it.

At PSX, we are presented with a simple teaser trailer (seen above), enough to tell us about the visual improvements and 4K support. We haven't seen any gameplay yet, nor do we have any details about when the game will be released.

The original MediEvil was released for the original PlayStation in 1998. I remember playing it when I was younger and I can't wait to return to it.
